Frank Tester is a researcher, author, and Professor Emeritus at the University of British Columbia, in the School of Social Work and in the Institute for Resources and Environmental Sustainability. His publications include “Tammarniit (Mistakes): Inuit Relocation in the Eastern Arctic, 1939-63” and “Kiumajut (Talking Back): Game Management and Inuit Rights, 1900-70)”, amongst many other articles. His work in Nunavut is focused on social issues and conditions, including Inuit housing and homelessness (Google ‘Iglutaq’), Inuit social history, the impacts of industrial development on Inuit culture, communities and well-being, mental health and social issues affecting Inuit youth.
