Unitarians in Rutana, Burundi are making a statement that “they are there to stay and serve”. The best visible and effective symbol is a building.
The Unitarian fellowship of Rutana, La fraternité Unitarienne,
has been in that small rural community for several years now, having an impact both on its members and the community at large. A physical home is their next big thing. This is huge for the fellowship! A building for a church is part of its identity and contributes to strengthening and growing its community.
Today we will celebrate the stability and unity of purpose of the Unitarians in Rutana and UCV’s commitment to work with them to achieve their goal by providing resources.
Come celebrate that the tent of UUsm is big enough, caring enough, and respectful enough to extend from Vancouver to Rutana!
