The Earth Has a Soul monthly group

Sun, Sep 22, 2019 12:30 pm - 1:30 pm

Multi-Purpose Room/Hitschmanova

In the fall, we are starting a new monthly group following the book The Earth Has a Soul – collected writings by Carl Jung. The group is now full, but send a note to if you’d like to be added to a wait list.

Each session will follow a covenant group process, starting with a check-in and then sharing from each participant about the content of the chapter that we’re studying. How the ideas touch you personally will be emphasized rather than debate or discussion.

The plan is to meet on the 4th Sunday at 12:30 pm for an hour. Questions or RSVP? Email the earth spirit group. Leadership will rotate. We’ll cover one chapter each month. In November, we’ll decide whether to meet in December and perhaps adjust our schedule.

Note: we originally planned to start this group in May but delayed it because of congregational meetings being called.

Here’s some information from the Vancouver Public Library.

The Earth Has A Soul

The Nature Writings of C.G. Jung

Book – 2002

While never losing sight of the rational, cultured mind, Jung speaks for the natural mind, source of the evolutionary experience and accumulated wisdom of our species. Through his own example, Jung shows how healing our own living connection with Nature contributes to the whole.

Coordinated by Mary Bennett. Leadership will rotate.

Once we reach a maximum of 10 participants, membership will be closed.
