Reconnecting to Life weekend workshop based on Joanna Macy’s work

Fri, May 31, 2019 - Sat, Jun 1, 2019 9:00 am - 5:00 pm

Unitarian Centre, 949 W 49th

The UCV Enviro Team is hosting a 2-day Reconnecting to Life workshop (May 31-June 1), led by highly skilled facilitators and based on the work of eco-philosopher Joanna Macy.

Reconnecting to Life is a safe and transformative group process which has the potential to empower our activism as we work together for a sustainable future. Gathering in community, we engage heart, mind and spirit in the task of reviewing our connections to ourselves, our human community and all life on earth. In a safe and transformative group context, drawing on dialogue, ritual, contemplation, experiences in nature and a range of creative processes, we explore new ways of seeing and being to support a heart-felt and sustained engagement with the world. This work will support us in transforming the climate despair we sometimes feel into sustained, courageous action.

Leaders: Jackie Larkin and Olive Dempsey (see more information)

When: May 31-June 1 (9 am to 5 pm)

Where: Unitarian Centre: Hewett Hall: 949 West 49 Ave, Vancouver
