The film, Raven People Rising, tells the story of the Heiltsuk Nation’s work to enshrine Indigenous governance of their homelands and waters into law in the wake of a devastating oil spill. When the Nathan E. Stewart ran aground in their Great Bear Rainforest home, the Heiltsuk took to the courts. All welcome to this film screening and fundraiser for the Heiltsuk legal fund.
