Christopher Levenson, a new member of UCV, will speak about and read from his book of poetry published in 2014 called Night Vision.
The title refers firstly to the night vision goggles that enable soldiers to see through the darkness in order to destroy and kill, and secondly to a vision of the political and ecological night that threatens humankind. It also refers to the faint possibility, grounded in personal relationships and cultural values, that we will see through and somehow transcend this night.
Christopher has published twelve books of poetry including the recently published A Tattered Coat Upon a Stick.
