Lunch and Chinese Cultural Visit

Come celebrate Asian Heritage Month with a UCV cultural visit to Chinatown! We will meet at the Jade Dynasty Restaurant  for a Chinese lunch, visit the Chinatown Storytelling Centre, and explore some shops. We plan to see a Chinese Herbalist and a Chinese grocery store to have an informal tour with long-time UCV member Cynthia Lam and the owners

We will gather and meet on that day,
1.  first at Jade dynasty restaurant ( 137 Pender E), at noon for lunch and chat,
2.  then across the street to the Chinatown Storytelling centre (168 Pender E), for a professional guided tour, $10 admission.
3. and followed by a visit with its owner, of a traditional herbal store a few steps away, the Hang Loong, at 242 E Pender.
Everyone is invited. Early registration is strongly recommended, by May 25.

Open to all. People can attend for just one part, if they wish.  If anyone needs financial support for transportation, meal, and ticket costs, you can let Derrick know at ([email protected]) and he will coordinate confidential support.
