Interfaith climate meeting

When:   Tues. May 23rd, 12-1pm, but may run longer.  You can bring you lunch, if you like.  Tea will be served.

Where:  Fireside Room (room closest to Oak St. in Hewett Hall, Unitarian Church of Vancouver, 949 W. 49th Ave. at Oak St.  (parking off Fremlin St.; #49 bus from Canada Line Langara Stn., or Oak #17)

What: 1) Update on Interfaith Climate Alliance (ICA) Progress and upcoming Conference on Sunday, June 11th, 1-6 pm

2) Perspectives on Climate Action (various Unitarians and others)

Hosted by UCV Enviro Team and others: ALL WELCOME.

WHY:  What effective climate action is possible for charitable organizations such as faith organizations and David Suzuki Foundation? Unitarian resolution process re divestment. Divestment from high GHG (GreenHouse Gas) generating corporations—pros and cons for individuals, and for faith groups governed by Canada Revenue Agency rules.
