Last fall, students at Churchill Secondary wanted their voices of compassion and inclusivity to be heard in response to the backlash by Marpole residents who opposed the 78-unit modular housing project for homeless people. They organized a rally, created gift packages to welcome the new residents and stood up to the fear and campaign of misinformation that tried to stop the project.
Hear this inspiring story by two of the students involved: Ishmam Bhuiya and Zainab Sayedain.
