Five years ago, David Marmorek and Dennis Brown met at a mountain hut in the Tantalus Range of British Columbia, and found many common interests and passions. Eventually we decided to put together a book of Dennis’s landscape paintings (painted en plein air), and David’s poems (drawn from thin air). Our little project (launched at UCV in October 2018) has far exceeded our expectations, spreading the joy of mountain images and words far and wide.
David and Dennis are doing a UCV Forum to pass on the joy this project has created, show Dennis’ paintings, tell you about the amusing origins of the book, recount the stories and science behind the poems, read poems, answer your questions, and have fun! All profits from book sales ($20 each) go to CAMTA, which does a medical mission to Ecuador every winter.
