The Board of Trustees invites you to participate in an important and exciting discussion at 12:30 pm on Sunday, February 28 about changes to our organizational structure to prepare for the future of UCV. Please read the included reports and recommendations that have been prepared by your Ministerial Transition Team task forces. In these reports you will find observations and recommended changes, and the the Board is in needs of your feedback to help inform their decisions.

The Organizational Design Report recommends changes to UCV Governance structure that would change the current Board from focusing on management through committees (Liaison Board) to being focused more on strategy and vision (Strategic Board), with a small leadership team (Minister, Board Vice-Chair, Administrator) accountable for the day-to-day operations and programs. This model is common among mid-size-large UU congregations, and the task force offers good examples for comparison and explanation.
The Long-term Staffing Report makes recommendations that considered the increased responsibility of the Congregational Administrator suggested in the Organizational Design report, as well as the current needs of UCV for increased communications, membership outreach and program support.
The Young Persons Task Force Report is a visionary discussion of what would make a difference at UCV to welcome, empower and grow the numbers of young people in the congregation. It is a reflection on current reality and an invitation to implement positive change.
