Nada – Vancouver’s Zero-Packaging Grocery Store

Sun, Mar 1, 2020 12:30 pm - 1:30 pm

Location
Fireside Room

This forum looks into the history of Nada (Vancouver’s world-renowned zero-packaging grocery store).

We will explore what it takes to create a socially responsible business, discuss the little-known regulatory and systemic hurdles involved in zero packagings, and brainstorm ways to support this work while implementing our own zero waste practices at home or at UCV.

This forum is lead by UCV member, Vivian Davidson – a community sustainability activist largely involved in setting up and running Nada, and Marie Witt – member and zero-waste enthusiast. Vivian and Marie are also both part of the casual caretaking staff at UCV and members of the UCV Zero Waste Team.

Please join us for the conversation!
