Circle Dance – Celebrating a Life Well Danced: Dances by June Watts

Tue, Apr 4, 2023 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Location
Unitarian Centre, 949 W 49th

Please join us to celebrate and honour the late JUNE WATTS, one of our most beloved (Sacred) Circle Dance teachers. We’ll be dancing almost in tandem and definitely in spirit with a planned weekend event (April 1 & 2) in Nottingham, UK: https://www.yogamapperley.org/about-2

After her Findhorn training, June started facilitating in the early 1980s and offered spirited danceshops that included her much loved “White Nights” in Western Canada (both BC & Alberta) for over 30 years (from 1987-2019) and all over the world. Those of us who were blessed to dance with June will remember how her lighter, spritely, spunky, spirited side danced harmoniously with her deep, earthly-grounding reverent side. Her spirit continues to dance through the elements and in our hearts. Thankfully she left us an incredible legacy of dances and a wonderful book: Circle Dancing: Celebrating the Sacred in Dance.

Dances will be taught by the UCV Circle Dance collective and other dancers.
