Beltane Ritual – April 30, 7:30 pm

Come join us as we celebrate the beginning of the light half of the year.  The days are growing longer as we approach the summer solstice.  It is time to celebrate the fertility of the earth, to appreciate the abundance of the springtime.  Even in the midst of a pandemic, an overdose crisis, and climate change, Mother Earth continues to amaze us with her beauty and her gifts.

We will gather on zoom to create a ritual together that incorporates flowers and ribbons and the spirits of all those who join us.  See link below.

Can you bring your favourite spring flower to share with the group – a real flower or a photo (pref real and 2ndly screen share)? You can either “look up” or make up a few sentences about the flower and/or send Mary Bennett the name and she’ll do some research.

Even though we can’t dance around the maypole, we are bringing ribbons into our ritual in 2 ways.  There will be an opportunity to write what you want to grow in your metaphorical garden on a ribbon which you can tie to a tree or your balcony, etc.  2 to 3 feet long – depending on what all you want to write.
 
Sheri has offered to a maypole craft in a breakout room following the ritual.  She will send a list of materials to the group prior to the ritual.
Juliet and Mary will host a breakout room for those who want to share their interest in crystals.
