Greetings Unitarian Friends!

I hope you are all enjoying a safe and relaxing summer so far.
Some news: Rev. Lara Cowtan has arrived! Huge thanks to Katherine Roback and Leslie Hill for leaving a vase of flowers at her new home along with a bottle of wine, a card, and some basic food essentials.

The UCV Board is hosting a “Welcome Rev. Lara” garden party next week (invitations unfortunately limited due to Covid), and the Welcome Team is setting up individual zoom and socially distanced meetings between Committee Chairs and Rev. Cowtan.

We all want to know when we can worship together again. Well, the Emergency Team has discussed this and remains committed to keeping services online indefinitely, and will let the congregation know when partial live attendance is deemed safe again.

The Board Executive continues to meet and keep the business of the Church moving forward, and staff are working in a safe and socially distanced manner with masks when appropriate. A new long-term tenant may be moving into our basement soon - more anon!

Also, UCV hosted a very successful Harry Potter Camp in July; huge thanks to Kiersten Moore for that! The Board as a whole will be meeting again in August.

That is my update for now. Looking forward to seeing you all again, online or in person. Please do not hesitate to email me if you have any questions or concerns.

Stay well,
Diane Brown
UCV Board President.
