Hello Friend
Within one week our UCV events when from careful to not at all.
Similar changes have happened in your own lives I'm sure. So many big changes.
As chair of your UCV Connect & Engage team I've set up some regular weekly gatherings using zoom video technology to help us keep in touch in the safest way possible.
Our minister, staff, board, communications committee--and many others--will be keeping you apprised of other news and opportunities as the days go on.
Some of us are sharing on our facebook group:
https://www.facebook.com/groups/MembersandFriendsVancouverUnitarians/
Many of our googlegroups--including Neighbourhood Groups--are active.
And of course individuals are calling each other, emailing and, I'm sure, waving from afar.
This article emphasizes that media where we can see each others' facial expressions help keep loneliness at bay more so than those that are just text or voice.
We are finding ways to keep in touch -- without touch.
Photo is from a social distancing walk with myself, Eva and Melody. We kept at least 3' apart the whole time and enjoyed walking in the wonderful Vancouver sunshine.

Back to Plants

We barely talk about them and seldom know their names, yet plants give life to the Earth by producing the atmosphere that surrounds us and the oxygen that animates us.  There would be no “interdependence of all things” without them.  Spring has just arrived—time to give plants their due.
