Seasonal Rituals - Labyrinth Walks - Circle Dance - Environment
Hello friend

I hope to see some of you at our annual Women's Gathering this Saturday January 4. Please register if you haven't already at: https://www.stpaulsanglican.bc.ca/events/nye-at-the-labyrinth/2019-12-31
Solstice was such fun--with 30 people, many coming for the first time. It augers well for attendance in the new year. We're going with a both/and approach as an experiment. If we build it, will they come?

So solstices and equinoxes will be celebrated on the 3rd Tuesday in the relevant month; and cross-quarter days on the 4th Thursday in the relevant month--before the actual sabbat. In between, we'll still meet on both those days and will have smaller, more informal gatherings including planning for sabbats. You are of course welcome at any or all of these events. (See below for the January offerings)

We've already set the date for an Imbolc celebration: Thursday, January 30--Save the date!
Laurie Anderson is featured in this e-newsletter. She'll be doing The Mystery Workshop January 4 and co-facilitating Cakes for the Queen of Heaven starting in February.
Here's a complete list of upcoming events at the Unitarian Centre.

Once a year women in the congregation and their friends take over many of the rooms at the Unitarian Centre to offer a variety of activities, fabulous food and lots of great conversations. It's a great way to move past December holiday-making and into a new year. As well as a potluck feast (last year 50 women came), there are …

We will celebrate Imbolc/Candlemas and perhaps even Groundhog Day! We'll welcome the Celtic goddess Brigid into our space and our lives. Mary Bennett and Mairy Beam are coordinating this ritual, so there will likely be a circle dance or two or three. There is a candle in your heart, ready to be kindled.              There …

SUNDAY SERVICES YOU MIGHT FIND OF INTEREST

If you're new to hanging out with Unitarians, you might find this service about Unitarianism of interest. Our minister is quite a historian and scholar and even those who have been around for a long time will find new information, I'm sure. - Mary

The Story/Our Story

Spread across continents and centuries, the story of Unitarianism is vast, maddening and thrilling.  We’ll explore its main outlines, themes, characters, and issues.  All in one worship service?  Let’s see what we can do; I think it will be worth it—a story that we can understand, value and carry with us on our journey.
