Seasonal Rituals - Labyrinth Walks - Circle Dance - Environment
Hello friend

Our Yule celebration is this Thursday. Hope to see you there!
I've discovered a great project from Montreal where you can write to the Solstice Kings and they'll write back. We'll have a writing station set up on Yule if you'd like to participate.
Even if it rains (It is Vancouver!), we hope some of the participants will want to walk one of our labyrinths in the dark with a lantern. It could be very magical and worth getting damp for.
We've already set the date for an Imbolc celebration: Thursday, January 30--Save the date!
Laurie Anderson is featured in this e-newsletter. She'll be doing The Mystery Workshop January 4 and co-facilitating Cakes for the Queen of Heaven starting in February.
Here's a complete list of upcoming events at the Unitarian Centre.

You can sign up, unsubscribe or change your email address or choices here.

Imbolc Earth Spirit Circle Celebration
We will celebrate Imbolc/Candlemas and perhaps even Groundhog Day! We'll welcome the Celtic goddess Brigid into our space and our lives. Mary Bennett and Mairy Beam are coordinating this ritual, so there will likely be a circle dance or 2 or 3. There is a candle in your heart, ready to be kindled.              There …

The Mystery Workshop

The Mystery Workshop facilitated by Laurie Anderson will be one of three afternoon workshops at the January 4th Women's Gathering. We'll explore: What does it mean to embrace mystery? What do I do when I don't know what to do? How do I learn to go with the flow (when I'd much rather feel in control)? Trust in organic unfoldings?  …

Laurie Anderson

Laurie Anderson
“What are you curious about?” my coach asked at the beginning of 2019 and then suggested I follow that query to see where it would lead.  And so, I began noticing what sparked my curiosity. Growing up on a farm, I felt an early, deep sense of connection with the natural world and her cycles and rhythyms.  Living non-urbanly for …

Fire Communion

In between the closing of the old year and the unfurling of the new, we come together in a ritual of reflection, letting go, and looking forward. Fire Communion is an opportunity to cast the emotional baggage of the old year into the flames and, lighter in spirit, set our intentions for the year to come. This year, Mary Bennett will offer …

Walk the labyrinth as the longest night approaches

During the Yule celebration, we'll have lanterns for you to make (or simply hold) as you walk -- possibly in the rain -- our labyrinth. As you wend your way to the centre you might think about 2019 and all you are leaving behind. Then, after turning in the centre, consider the coming days with growing light and what they …
