Covenant Groups
Covenant groups are all about process. The process is designed to deepen our spiritual lives and connections with each other as we meet each month to listen, learn, and share – without judgment. These self-directed groups select their own themes and rotate responsibility for facilitating.
Groups are usually between 7 and 10 people. Currently there are three groups: 2nd and 4th Sundays at the church starting at 1pm and Monday evenings at a member’s home in Kitsilano.
Sacred Circle Dance
September to June, first Tuesday and second Monday of the month,
Also GLAD: Gathering for Labyrinth, Art and Dance – third Thursday 11am – 1pm.
For updates and details, click our blog here.
Sometimes there are other events, including teachers from the US, UK or other parts of Canada. More information is available by email.
Come and learn a variety of sacred circle dances. Most are easy to learn and are more about spiritual practice and community building than about right steps. In fact, our mantra is, “There are no wrong steps, only variations.” Usually a group of 10 to 15, we meet in the Hall in Hewett Centre and dance to recorded music.
Please contact UCV member Denise Nereida for more information.
Mary Bennett sends out a regular e-newsletter with updates and some background information about the music and dances. You can subscribe here.
Third Sunday Book Group
The third Sunday of each month 12:30 pm in the Family Room. Enjoy a lively, enjoyable, and informative discussion each month on a selected book.
The Book Group does not meet during the summer.
