The UCV Second Sunday Book Group meets next on January 14^th to discuss Mohsin Hamid’s novel Exit West. It tells the stories of a young man and woman from an unnamed war-torn Muslim country. One of them wants to leave and the other wants to stay. As always, Hamid’s writing is concise, rich both in detail and in metaphor, and offers the reader both utopian and dystopian perspectives on the great migrations of our times. We meet in Biddle from 12:30-2 p.m. and all are welcome. Facilitator: Gail Lyons 604-266-7438.
