Intergenerational Activist Gathering: Lessons Learned

Fri, Mar 15, 2019 5:30 pm - 9:30 pm

Location
Hewett Centre

Following the success of the fall 2018 Intergenerational Dinner, we are holding another gathering on March 15 and this time the topic is:  Lessons Learned When Things Went Wrong (and Sometimes Even When They Went Right!).

This is an invitation for all Young and Not-So-Young Activists and Supporters to join us in a fascinating, fun evening in March. UBC Community Eats will provide dinner and dessert. (You are welcome to bring an appetizer to start off the evening!)

Meet and talk to environmental and social justice activists as they share humbling, powerful, and useful lessons learned from past campaigns.

The UCV Environment Team is inviting Activists and Supporters of all ages to a special evening on March 15. Come for dinner (compliments of UBC Community Eats), swap stories with new friends at your table, and then hear from environmental and social justice leaders as they share some of the powerful lessons they’ve learned over the years.
This event will feature:
Dr. Tara Cullis, co-founder and president of the David Suzuki Foundation
Dr. David Steele vice president of Earthsave Canada
Quoc Nguyen of Humanity Refugee Society and Leadnow, and
Lorimer Shenher, acclaimed author and advocate for marginalized people and police reform.
