Autumn Equinox Celebration on the Labyrinth
Sun, Sep 16, 2018 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm
Labyrinth (Fremlin Street entrance)
Sunday September 16 1-2:30 pm on the labyrinth.
Celebrate Autumn Equinox
Family-friendly; all ages welcome. Everything is optional. Join us for all or any part of the program.
Meet at the Garden Path Labyrinth (east side of sanctuary) on Fremlin at 1 pm.
We’ll cast a circle, call in the four directions and the inner masculine and feminine. Then we’ll walk the labyrinth, gathering herbs and flowers to make a bouquet or bundle to take home.
We’ll sit together and share our experiences of balance (or not balance) and our intentions for the coming season.
After closing the circle, we’ll go into Hewett Hall to continue conversation and drinking tea together. If you’d like to bring a snack to share that would be welcome. We will provide some.
Bonus: If you’d like to start your own herb garden, we can help you take root divisions or cuttings to pot up to take home. We have several kinds of mint and sage and lots of chives to share.
Earth Spirit Circle at UCV
Our 6th source recognizes earth-centred spiritual traditions. These celebrations borrow from both neo-pagan and Unitarian traditions.
Coordinator.: Mary Bennett RSVP appreciated but feel free to be spontaneous and just come and join us. If you can come a bit early to help set up it would be very welcome.
Mabon is the second harvest and we celebrate the bounty. Some good options for snacks include anything that is ready for harvest at this time such as
- Fruits, such as apples, berries or grapes
- Nuts, like hazelnuts and pecans
- Grains including fresh bread
- Vegetables such as tomatoes, potatoes, carrots and onions
- Squash and zucchini
There may be apples from our apple orchard ready to pick or pick up!
